I’ve had nothing but a great backyard experience,” Ziegan said. She’s one of more than a thousand members who use CareSource. She said that when she was looking for doctors and hospitals covered by her plan, she couldn’t see the children’s hospital,” Ziegan said. We asked her to walk us through the process from what she finds online. “When scrolling, I also chose to filter by ‘Cincinnati Children’s’ to see if each plan includes them in their network,” Ziegan said. “Looking through the 12 plans available to me, none of them indicate that Cincinnati Children’s is part of the CareSource network.” She’s not the only one having problems. CareSource and Cincinnati Children’s have confirmed they have a contractual agreement through 2023. And right now, there’s a lot of confusion for parents and caregivers signing up for next year’s health coverage using CareSource.
They tell us that when they log in to register, it doesn’t show that Children’s Hospital is part of the plan.
Alexandra Ziegan is a mother of three and one of many parents who have raised concerns with WLWT.
“I have three kids. We use Children’s so much. I’ve had nothing but a great experience, we’re so lucky to have them in our backyard,” Ziegan said.
She is one of over a thousand members who use CareSource.
She said that when she searched for doctors and hospitals covered by her plan, she did not see Children’s Hospital.
“When I pulled out the 94 blueprints I had … for Children’s Hospital, there was a red ‘X’ on each one,” Ziegan said.
We asked her to walk us through the process from what she finds online.

She’s not the only one having problems.

Children’s said despite what users see online, someone with CareSource who comes to use the hospital will be covered.
But when asked why families don’t see the hospital listed when they sign up, Children’s said to ask CareSource.
