San José State Record: 4-4, 2-2 Mountain West. More recently, the Spartans have come back from behind to defeat UNLV, 27-20. The Spartans are at the .500 mark for the fourth time this season.

Wyoming Record: 4-3, 0-3 Mountain West. Most recently, the Cowboys lost their third straight game in a 14-3 home loss to New Mexico on October 23. Wyoming’s last victory was a 24-22 victory over UConn on September 25.

Play-by-play radio coverage: KTRB (860 AM, San Francisco) will broadcast the Wyoming game. Justin allegri calls play-by-play. Kevin Richardson provides commentary. The Wyoming broadcast begins at 12:30 p.m. PT with a pre-game show. The broadcast is also available on the Varsity Network app.

The KTRB AM show will also be available on Sirius XM Radio Channel 383 and SXM App Channel 973.

KSJS (90.5 FM, San Jose) will also broadcast the San Jose State-Wyoming game starting at 12:45 p.m. (PT).

Television: FS2 will broadcast the Wyoming game. Eric Collins returns to call the play-by-play of his second San Jose State game in 21 days. Devin Gardner will offer an analysis. The Wyoming broadcast begins at 1:00 p.m. (PT).

Series history: Wyoming leads the series, 7-4. Wyoming won the most recent game between these teams, a 24-9 decision on a cold afternoon in Laramie on Nov. 3, 2018. The Cowboys’ victory ended San State’s three-game winning streak. Jose in the series which resumed in 2013 on a regular basis. when the Spartans joined the Mountain West.
Three of the four Spartan wins in the series included a fourth quarter comeback and San Jose State’s four wins were seven points or less.

1992 – Joe Nedney scores a record 60-yard field goal in the last game of the game for a 26-24 victory over Laramie.
2013 – The Spartans overcome a 23-7 first-half deficit and quarterback David Fales scores on a 1-yard run with 0:08 in the game for a 51-44 win in San Jose.
2014 – Austin Lopez conceals a 50-yard field goal with 0:42 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 20-20 and Tyler Winston catches a 4-yard overtime pass for a 27-20 triumph.
2017 – DeJon Packer’s 44-yard touchdown run with 2:09 left in the fourth quarter was the Spartans’ insurance policy in a 20-17 win at CEFCU Stadium (then Spartan Stadium).

Looking for a winning streak in 2021: With four regular season games remaining, San Jose State has its fourth opportunity of the year for its first-game winning streak. On the three previous occasions, the Spartans were the road team and lost to USC on September 4, Western Michigan on September 25 and Colorado State on October 9.

Second return win this season: San Jose State overcame a 17-3 halftime deficit in Las Vegas to claim a 27-20 victory over Mountain West over UNLV. The last time the Spartans trailed 10 or more points and won was a 17-16 victory over Fresno State after falling 16-3 in the first half.
The UNLV victory was San Jose State’s second victory this season. San Jose State trailed Hawai’i, 7-0, to the 5:26 mark of the second quarter en route to a 17-13 triumph.

A season high with five sacks from the quarterback at UNLV: San Jose State were credited with five quarterback sacks, a season-high, in their win over UNLV on Oct. 21. Viliami Fehoko with 2.0 bags and lineman EJ Ane and linebackers Jordan cobbs and Kyle Harmon, on the last game of the match, each had their first of the season.
The last time the Spartans had 5.0 or more quarterback sacks in a game was when the UNLV won in 2020 when San Jose State had 7.0 sacks.
