President Joseph R. Biden appointed Willow Omarova as Controller of the Currency.

Ms. Omarova is currently the Beth and Marc Goldberg Professor of Law at Cornell University, where she focuses on the regulation of systemic risk and structural trends in financial markets. Previously, Ms. Omarova was the George R. Ward Associate Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has also served as Special Advisor on Regulatory Policy to the Under Secretary of National Finance in the Treasury and practiced law at a financial services law firm in New York City.
