A new mortgage company is looking to build long-term relationships with its clients by offering them simple, pragmatic advice.

Iain Prior started Stamford and Rutland Money with the goal of helping people take control of their mortgages and financial protection.

Backed by established business Fairfield Money, Iain is well positioned to support all types of clients, from first-time buyers to those looking for mortgages.

Iain Prior started the mortgage company Stamford and Rutland Money.

The firm also supports people who rent a property.

Iain said, “I am passionate about helping people with simple advice. Mortgages don’t have to be complicated.

“We also stress the importance of being financially protected. It is not only for the owners, but also for the tenants. We encourage people to think about what would happen if they suddenly got sick and couldn’t work. How would they pay the bills?

“We want to build lasting relationships with people through the different stages of their lives. We can help them from buying a first home to the birth of children and finding a forever home.

“We are working to make the whole process less stressful.”

The company is currently based in Carlby, but Iain plans to open an office in Stamford and hire new staff.

One of her most recent successes has been helping a client revise their mortgage. The end result was a slight reduction in monthly payments, but also a six-year reduction in the term of their mortgage. The overall savings will be around £ 40,000.

Iain said, “This highlights the value and importance of seeking professional advice regarding your mortgage. It’s much better to have this money in your own pocket.”

Appointments are available by phone, videoconference or face to face.

Outside of the office, Iain also wants the company to be part of the community.

Growing up in Stamford, he wants Stamford and Rutland Money to support local businesses and seek out possible sponsorship opportunities.
