Mill Creek, a tributary of the Brazos River, provides water for wildlife habitat and supports agricultural and recreational activities. This workshop is organized to support ongoing efforts in the basin to improve water quality.

Refreshments will be served. Workshop participants will receive a copy of the Texas Watershed Steward Handbook and may obtain a certificate of completion.

The Texas Watershed Steward program offers continuing education units for several professional disciplines. However, the amount of continuing education offered may vary for certain disciplines, depending on whether one attends in person or virtually.

For those attending in person, four hours of continuing education is offered for the following professional disciplines: soil and water management for certified agricultural advisers; professional engineers; certified teachers; professional geoscientists; certified landscape architects; certified floodplain managers; and each of the following Texas Environmental Quality Commission professional licensees: Sewer Operators, Public Water Operators, On-Site Sewer Installers, and Landscape Irrigators.

The American Institute of Certified Planners will offer four certification maintenance credits and one and a half law credits. In addition, three general continuing education units are offered to holders of a private pesticide applicator license from the Texas Department of Agriculture, and two credits are offered to nutrient management specialists.
